Membership Benefits

For over 30 years, Chamber members have enjoyed the benefits of membership.

The Chamber provides exposure to thousands of businesses, business leaders, and nonprofit organizations within the capital area queer and allied community. Some of the key benefits of all Chamber membership include:

• Free or reduced price entry into regular trainings and workshops
• Exposure in the online and printed business directory (for business members and higher)
• The opportunity to promote your business and/or host events at your venue
• Reduced pricing on and limited-space access to exhibitor tables during events that call for them
• Access to the members-only section of the web site, which allows for connecting with other members and finding members-only discounts for purchases from a number of businesses
• Advanced registration for core events, which typically have a wait list
• The chance to be included in a regular member spotlight that promotes you to the wider Chamber membership
• Automatic inclusion in the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), including fee waiver for LGBTE certification, a $899 value

Corporate Membership

Membership Fee: $750

Typical Member: Traditional Corporate Members are large, Fortune 500 companies looking to promote themselves to the community and provide professional development benefits for their employees. A significant portion of our Corporate Members, however, are also smaller businesses looking to punch above their weight with deeper exposure to opportunities, promotion, and the Capital area business and professional communities. Some upper sponsorship levels come with a Corporate Membership included.

• Inclusion of up to six (6) guests within your organization at paid core events
• Discounts on all other events for up to six (6) registered individuals at your company
• Invitations to exclusive events
• Company Spotlight in one Connections e-Newsletters
• First right of refusal to host and sponsor events
• Business Directory listing
• Opportunities for employee leadership development through conducting trainings and workshops
• Use of CAGLCC logo
• Logo on the CAGLCC web site and social media promotions

Premier Membership

Membership Fee: $325
Typical Member: The Premier Membership is intended for small businesses that want to elevate the exposure of their business in the community and include employees as Chamber members under their umbrella.

• Additional benefits:
  Inclusion of up to three (3) guests within your organization at paid core events
• Discounts on all other events for up to three (3) registered individuals at your company
• Business Directory listing
• Use of CAGLCC logo
• Opportunities to host and sponsor events

Business Membership

Membership Fee: $250
Typical Member: Business Members are typically single-person businesses or individual practitioners who want increased exposure and inclusion in the Business Directory. The typical types of businesses who find value in this membership include financial planners, realtors, medical professionals, and others who conduct their business primarily as an individual.

• Discounts on all other events
• Business Directory listing
• Opportunities to host and sponsor events

Professional Membership

Member Fee: $175
Typical Member: This membership level is intended for professionals who want to deepen their network, expose themselves to professional development opportunities, and/or explore the possibility of becoming an entrepreneur.

Additional benefits:

• Free admission to paid core events
• Discounts on all other events
• Opportunities to host and sponsor events

Community Partner Membership

Membership Fee: $175

Typical Member: We both support and rely on the Capital area's rich community of nonprofit organizations. This membership level is intended for area non-profits to gain access to Chamber benefits and to combine forces to provide benefits of mutual interest to our respective memberships and to the wider queer & allied community as a whole.

Additional benefits:

• Free admission to paid core events
• Discounts on all other events
• Opportunities to host and sponsor events
• Priority access for a free table at Mega Networking (for which there is always a wait list), the area's largest annual LGBT networking event
• Opportunities for co-hosted and co-branded events

Chamber Start Membership

Membership Fee: $35

Typical Member: This membership level is intended for economically disadvantaged individuals, and/or people who are preparing to enter the workforce. Individuals at this membership level are typically current or recent college students, or someone who is referred by one of our Community Partners, and believes a Chamber membership would benefit them.

Note that Chamber Start memberships cannot be purchased through our web site, but please contact us if you believe you are a candidate.

• Chamber Start members retain all benefits commensurate with a Professional Membership level.
